The Massachusetts Adult Day Services Association participated in a Long Term Care demand study with other elder stakeholder groups throughout Massachusetts. This study, “Mapping the Future: Estimating Massachusetts Aging Services Needs 2010–2030,” projects that there will be a dramatic increase in the demand for ADH services and a 70% increase in the number of people served by ADH programs by 2030.

The report is a joint project of the Massachusetts Senior Care Association, CliftonLarsenAllen LLP, Lewis & Clarke LTC Risk Retention Group Inc., and a number of other post-acute and long-term care provider associations.

This is important and fascinating information! It is designed to help providers and policy makers better understand how demographic forces and environmental factors will combine to impact the demand for post-acute and long-term care services over the next 20 years.

In November 2012, MADSA leadership engaged in a further training session by CliftonLarsenAllen LLP to learn more about what we will be facing given the changes in health care reform, changes in perceptions and buying habits of consumers, implications and applications of technology, and accessing capital in a post-recessionary environment.
